Cité Internationale des Arts hosts the performance Chercher – Trouver – Devenir (Seek – Find – Become), an evocative and immersive event blending music, poetry, and meditation. Taking place on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, at 6:30 PM in Studio 5, this unique performance explores the intersection of neoclassical music, spiritual poetry, and self-realization.
Entrance is free, limited to available seating.
This unique program, conceptualized by soprano and musicologist Cleopatra David, brings together the neoclassical songs of Darius Milhaud and the spiritual poetry of Rabindranath Tagore. The performance delves into the themes of inner discovery and transformation, using the power of music and words to explore the human quest for deeper meaning. These compositions reflect the search for inner peace and spiritual awakening, seamlessly blending art and introspection.
The highlight of the evening will be the integration of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi's Experiment of Self-Realization, an interactive and meditative journey that guides the audience from seeking to becoming. This meditative component invites audience participation, offering them a rare opportunity to engage with the music in a deeply personal way.
Chercher – Trouver – Devenir is part of the George Enescu Artistic Residency of Cleopatra David, supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute. The performance of Darius Milhaud's songs was previously featured in the concert Neoclassicism and Experimentation, and this open studio will expand on those themes, offering a more interactive and participatory experience.
